House for Sale!

Those on FB already know my drama for today...snake in the kitchen!

I was leaving to go pick up Bella from school and was headed through the kitchen when I spotted a snake coiled on my rug in front of the sink. My rug is black and it is a miracle I saw it because the snake was dark. From what I could see, it was blacky greeny and about 3-4 feet. I immediately screamed at the top of my lungs and the little devil slithered behind my dishwasher. Gavin later told me the snake probably felt my walking vibrations instead of hearing my scream but I think even deaf people would have heard what I let out!

I had about five minutes to get Bella so I had to leave the house although I wanted to stay and make sure it stayed under the dishwasher. I called my mom and Gavin from the car and they both headed over. My mom is a country girl so she was all about capturing the snake and Gavin knew he was up for major drama if he did not come home...immediately.

My mom came and instructed me to find a weapon to kill it...all I could find was a post hole digger...and she started to pull back the dishwasher. I wanted her to wait for Gavin but she wouldn't. She couldn't get it out so we had to wait for him anyway. When he got home, he pulled it back and it was not there!!! Now I have no idea where it is. We think it is still in the island where the dishwasher is because the cats are circling it. I wanted to rip the whole island out (we plan on doing that eventually anyway and now is a good of time as ever, right?) but Gavin wasn't having it. After about 3 hours of searching, I gave in and got a blizzard because I definitely deserved some sort of pleasure after my drama.

So here I am with 3 pairs of socks and tennis shoes on while I try to figure out what to do. My "prince charming" (please note the sarcasm) is sleeping...soundly. My daughter is baracaded in her room. Cory says I should burn down my house. Anyone have any reasonable suggestions? Exterminator is coming tomorrow so hopefully I don't have an anxiety attack by then.

Pray saints pray!
